I need some ideas for an engagment dress can you ladies give me some names other then jovani. i want classy elegant formal dress with beading, and ideas where to find one on long island!

Maybe you can check out mother of the bride sections of bridal salons or get a bridesmaid dress.

i got a dress from bloomingdales for my eparty......its prom season so theres alot in there!

depends on how formal you want to go... I looked at bridesmaid dresses and even prom dresses and wound up with something dressy but not too formal... here's what I wore for my eparty...

I got it at nordstrom.com - they have a huge selection of dresses and they're return policy is pretty good...

it's pink satin to the knee with sequined halter and very low cut with lace around the bodice...

Check Cache out in the Walt Whitman Mall, I got my dress there. They have some beautiful dresses!

Mine was Vera Wang, I got it at Bloomies too. Blue Fly had it as well.

Sue Wong makes really beautiful dresses that look very bridal. i actually just saw a GORGEOUS one in Neimen Marcus. My dress for mine was Sue Wong from Boutique-Elle in Woodbury.

I picked up a beautiful dress from Estelles...it was ugly as hell on the hanger, but when I tried it on it was perfect. Good luck.

This post caught my eye because I just went shopping this past weekend for a dress...

I went to The Roosevelt Field Mall and looked in Betsey Johnson, Macy's, Cache--they all had beautiful things but nothing that really stood out to me so I kept looking and then I found her!!

I got my dress at Jessica McClintock!! They had more than three dresses just that I tried on alone I could have went with!! They have so many great tea-length and full length dresses!! To my FH's SHOCK and complete delight my dress was only $95 on sale! He was delighted considering we went with over $400 in cash lol thinking we would be spending a lot more.

I also LOVE The White House/Black Market. Whenever I am in a fix and I need something last minute I go there because I can ALWAYS find something I love (but I have been wearing a lot of white and black to functions lately and since they only have those colors and shades of ivory I went elsewhere this time because I wanted a color). But it's the BEST store for so many things (if you are going to a wedding, etc.) It's in the Woodbury Commons--check out Elle while you are there also (I saw someone mention it above) great stuff there too...

here are the sites, on the Jessica site you can see my dress it is a Jessica McClintock for Gunne Sax (its in that section, short with a black bow and black lace in the middle--shown in like a silverish/light blue but mine is a baby pink/peach color!! That's the best part about the store, a million dresses and each one comes in a million colors!!!
