Re: donations as favors

just have to say, thats a great idea! we did that for our wedding in june- we donated to the lance armstrong cancer fund, because my dad is a cancer survivor.... we gave each guest a yellow
'livestrong' bracelet and a thing of mints, with a note attached to it explaining the donation. we got soo many compliments on it, and we still see a lot of our guests even months later wearing the bracelets, whch you can't say for a lot of other favors.....
i would start with the American Cancer Society- they would probably have info on specifically giving for ovarian cancer... good luck!

Re: donations as favors

FH's grandfather passed away from cancer and I've had my aunt and 2 uncles (1 just last week) passed away from cancer as well. FH and I decided on donation favors as well, just not sure which one either American Cancer Society or Livestrong. Along with a message of the donation, we're also going to give out tins of
M & M's in our colors

Re: donations as favors

I love the bracelet idea as well. My mom passed away from breast cancer and I think you did a great thing by donating.

Another option is CRPF -- Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation.

Re: donations as favors

i am going to do the same thing. My dad passed away from lunch cancer and my FH's dad passed away from a heart attack so we are doing a dual donation as favors.

you could always donate to
The American Cancer Society.
