wedding cake

I need an honest opinion. What do you think of chocolate (devil's food) wedding cake with raspberry filling? I wanted to try something different but I'm not sure if chocolate cake is a good bet.

Re: wedding cake

I think is sounds yummy.

My wedding cake filling was: chocolate cake with hazelnut filling imbibed with Frangelico --- tasted just like the Baci chocolates.

Re: wedding cake

Hi date twin!

We're doing devils food cake with chocolate mousse and raspberry, and I don't think there should be a problem with it!! There's only so many times you can eat yellow cake!!

Re: wedding cake

Take a look at this photo from my cousin's wedding - she did this and had no problems. You just need to advise your FH that he is not to smash that cake in your face at the reception!

Edited to resize photo: again:

Glad it finally worked! See if your baker can switch the icing to chocolate - I can't say that I got to taste the cake because our table never received any at her wedding, but we had the chocolate fondue station and I was content with that!
