Any experience with Cactus Salon?

Someone on the board recommended that I take a look at the Cactus Salong for hair & make-up. Any recommendations on stylists/ make-up artists at any of the following Cactus Salon locations listed below? Specific names would be FANTASTIC! I will be out in LI next weekend and would like to arrange to meet some of the stylists.

Holbrook

Islandia

East Islip

I've used a sylist at Cactus in Dix Hills for years for color and cutting. She's awesome and her name is Fran. She only works Thursday & Sundays.

Sorry... I've only been to the Syosset salon. Kerri kicks butt, and she does hair for weddings (in-home).

Kristen, Erica and Cheryl there are AWESOME, too!

Don't go to the one in Islandia- I had a HORRIBLE experience there. The girl that cut my hair was about 4 feet tall. She couldn't see the top of head when I was in the chair. Everytime she cut, she'd have to re-cut the other side. I was miserable. Finally she asked a more senior person for help- he told her what to do. It got to the point that I just said- STOP cutting. I left in tears and walked out.

it's funny b/c i had the WORST experience of my life there....the colorist forgot about me, did a terrible job (there were 'bleed' lines and i was unable to pull my hair up or back all summer because of it...i should've gone in and complained...) and the cut was sub-par....i asked her to cut in some layers for volume (my hair is kind of long) and the layer she cut in was 1/2 shorter than the rest of my hair...it looked awful no matter how you styled it. i think i would've been better off at a supercuts when i factor in how much i paid vs. what i got.

I use David in the East Islip location for my hair. I have been going to him for the past 7-years and will not let anyone else touch my head. He is awesome!!! FM me if you want details.
