My FH is an ex-NYC cab driver and I thought it would be a great gesture to get a vintage taxi cab to drive us from our reception hall to our hotel. The drive is 18 miles. However there fee is $220, which includes tax tip and gratuity.

I really want to do this. The company is very reputable and the person I've contacted seems very nice. But $220 seems high to me. The contact said the reason is because 'it is an out of town evening affair'

I actually think that is ok. If you wanted a specialty car it would run you about $300. I know it is $$ considering how close you are to the venue, but I think it would be a sweet gesture.

Well, our limo is costing $210 for pick up-drop off service which is about 20 miles... so I would say that quote you got is about right.

Seems about right when compared to vintage/specialty car cost.

i dont think that is too high. the rolls royce we got is $500 for the 3 hrs...so you got me beat by 1/2
