I year mark gift

Did anyone give their FH a small gift on the day of the 1-year until wedding mark? I want to do something thoughtful, but I'm so worn out with wedding plans and I can't come up with anything.

ummm..no i did not give him anything but we had our engagement party exacly 1 year before :)

We decided to save the money and forgo the engagement party. I kinda wish we were having one though.

We didn't go more than a year engaged, but I wouldn't have anyway. There's not much significance to the day until you're married, and some people may consider it bad luck.....

We were busy closing on our house that week, or else we would have gone for dinner at the place we're getting married.

I suggested this to another bride... maybe you'll like it, too. Buy a bottle of champagne from the year you started dating, and write 'Do Not Open Until Our Wedding Night!'

You can also get a miniature wedding cake and make a nice dinner with that as dessert.

you're welcome! I kind of wish I thought of it for my '-1' year mark! lol. Maybe I'll do it for the 1 year anniversary of our Engagement (May 19th)!
