June Brides...

Are you feeling overwhelmed?

I have less than 3 months to go and still have so much to do!!! How am I going to do this? I have school and work all day 6 days a week on top of that - evenings too!

We are having so many money problems too - how are we going to do this???

On top of everything else - I lost so many of FH's family addresses - whats wrong with me? Usually I am so on top of things! So now I have another job to do....

How am I going to do this?

How many times can I ask this question???

Re: June Brides...

Hang in there, Liza! We're all getting down to the wire, so stress is natural. Prioritize your list (ie invites?) and go from there. If it means not getting to some of the DIY stuff (?) you maybe wanted to get to, than oh well. The most important thing is the marriage, not the big day, so stick to your budget, and make time for the MUST DOs and forget the WANT TOs. Good Luck!

Re: June Brides...

Try your best to keep records of address on the computer and make backups very often. That usually helps me. Also, I make lists and lists of things to do so I don't forget (also on the computer) and when I finish a task, right next to it I put a big DONE! in pink font. It makes me feel good . If you have everything written down, and you look at your list often, you shouldn't forget anything. You have plenty of time, you just have to keep on top of things.

Re: June Brides...

I'm on the same boat as you... I don't even have a photographer yet. In fact, I've not signed any contract with any vendor. I've got two photographers to choose from but, they're over my budget and difficult to negotiate... and not exactly what I wanted...

Anyway, I want to share with you on something that helps me... is that I set TO DOs and try to meet those goals (e.g. appointments, DIYs, etc.) and check off of the list. Try that... hope it helps you, too.

Re: June Brides...

Totally overwhelmed. I also work F/ T and go to school and I understand 100%. I had a meltdown today about addresses. I want my RSVPs back by the 1st week of May so that I will have time for seating arrangements, menus and whatever else. I know how you are feeling. The closer the wedding gets.... the dumber I feel

Re: June Brides...

I know how you feel about the money issue. I'm strictly commission so I always have to budget my money. But as we get closer I'm finding more expenses that are so overwhelming (BP gifts, programs, petal cones, favors). We have all of the money saved up for the final payments, but I never really budgeted for the little things. On top of that, this is when I really start to get busy at work so I feel like I'm being pulled in 20 different directions!!!

But I keep reminding myself that what matters is the the day itself and everyday after that. It will all find a way of getting done. So smile...and keep imagining yourself in your wedding dress!

Re: June Brides...

I am a natural procrastinator, so this planning is driving me to drink.

I have my days where I feel overwhelmed and other days that I feel ok. Since I am in Los Angeles, it adds that extra degree of difficulty.

The mission this week is to get all the addresses together to send to the printer. My deadline is tomorrow.

Wish me luck.
