Re: Tiara question?

Honestly.. I met Denise Leli and saw her work and I wasn't impressed and she said she started at like $300.. I may just go to Baron's in Tri County and see what they have.. So the point of my story is that I don't expect to spend anywhere NEAR $300 for a headpiece..

that's basically how I feel too... I've seen a few pricetags and it seems like it's just a ridiculous amount of money!

I've actually decided to make my own tiara using silver wire and crystal beads, but I haven't priced out yet how much the materials will be. It really shouldn't be more than $50, at least, that's the hope.

this kind of idea, but not this exact one, I'd use smaller crystals and something perhaps a bit simpler... and I want to mix in pale blue with the clear:

Re: Tiara question?

Well the tiara I loved was at Macy's where I got my dress, but it was $300. So I held off. The girl I work with said there is a Russian lady at Tri-County who hand makes veils and tiaras. Her daughter used this woman for her wedding. Her daughter's tiara looked exactly like one she was going to buy in a botique for a couple of hundred.........instead she said she paid $40!!!!! So I'm def checking this woman out!!!!!

Re: Tiara question?

I had no idea what the costs of tiaras were untill I started to look. Mommy bought mine, and it was 400. I don't even know what the going rate is for a decent tiara to tell you the truth. I have seen such cheap ones, that I wouldn't even pay a quarter for.
