Re: bridal shower HELP

I did not invite every woman from the guest list. I invited immediate family, closest friends and told FMIL to feel free to add people to the list. I think 30 were invited total.

Re: bridal shower HELP

i won't invite all the women. i think bridal showers should be more intimate than weddings. my sisters all invited only close friends and close family members, and I think I will do the same. prob wouldn't hit more than 30 people.

Re: bridal shower HELP

ok so what about your registry? Usually from my understanding you put registry cards in for the bridal shower

Re: bridal shower HELP

I am far away from my bridal shower, so I don't really know too much about it. But if it's a surprise, wouldn't it be up to the person who is throwing the party to determine how many is a good number?

But if you are involved in planning it, then I would say it's def OK to cut some people (even though I am sure that is hard). If money is tight, maybe just keep it to family and close friends. If you don't hang out with co-workers outside of work, maybe they can be cut (especially if they are going to be invited to the wedding). HTH

Re: bridal shower HELP

i only gave my moh a guest list of 35, and only about 25 came, which was perfect for me because i liked how intimate it was.

i believe etiquette says you don't have to invite everyone on your wedding guest list, but everyone on your shower guest list should be invited to your wedding.

Hmmmmm.

Well maybe you can make the list and designate 'must invites' (family, close friends, etc) and 'if there's room invites' (co-workers, aquaintances, etc. Then whoever the official hostess if for your shower can make the decision based on money, room, or whatever.

That might take some of the pressure off of you (because we all know us can use a break!!!!!!!)

i didn't invite coworkers on my guest list, our office usually throws showers/parties for ppl so i am hoping i'll have a shower thrown at work closer to the actual wedding

I agree on that one!!! My job does the same thing, so more than likely when the time comes my co-workers won't be invited.
