HELP!! Sample budget needed

Does anyone have a sample budget/breakdown of pricing for their wedding? IE: how much did you budget/spend on D.J., Flowers, Limos, Photo/video, Invites, favors, BM Gifts, extras??? etc... My FI and I have no clue what the going rate is for vendors and our first guess at a budget was WAY TOO HIGH. TIA

Re: HELP!! Sample budget needed

i think it all depends on what you want.....how big is your wedding? what style food are you going for etc........size of your BP.......those are all into consideration

Re: HELP!! Sample budget needed

there are a few threads were it says what we're all spending 60k, on the weddingchannel.com, they have it where you put in what you want to spend, how many guest, & the number of attendents

Re: HELP!! Sample budget needed

you can definitely make it as much or as little as possible...I think most people are in between 40k and 60 k......ill probably be around 50-60 k on ours...but we are getting help from both our parents...!!! there are ways of cutting costs you just have to know where you want to cut them!!!

Re: HELP!! Sample budget needed

We're looking at a wedding of about 225......most likely ** if everything works out** at the Crescent Beach Club... BP is 10 on each side..... type of food is not really a priority. I'm just looking for a rough estimate on the going rate for the different type of vendors. Thanks for your help.

My BP total is 15 (without me and my FI) and our guest list is about 225-250. For A Summer 2006 wedding on a Sunday night- I think we'll have spent at least 50,000 after totalling it all - (without honeymoon).

RIDICULOUS>>>

Re: HELP!! Sample budget needed

I think she is looking for just estimates on how much you budgeted (before meeting with vendors) for different vendors. Here are some of mine - I kind of stuck to them:

Flowers - $3000
Invites - $1000 with stamps, calligraphy, etc.
Limos - $600 (P/U and Drop off and Airport Dropoff)
Ceremony Music - $500
Photo - $4500 w/ Parent Albums
Favors - $5 per couple
Officiant - $500
My hair - $150 (plus trial cost)
My makeup - $150 (plus trial cost)
Honeymoon $5000
Parents Gifts - ???
Wedding Bands - $1500
Placecards - $100

that is all I can think of

You should sign up for theknot.com
That website will have an link to a budget spreadsheet for you. It's not going to be exactly acurate since everyone has different ideas for their wedding, but at least it'll help you start somewhere!!! It was really useful for me!!
