Re: NWR - Disney Hotels
We're staying at Disney's Beach Club Villas (one bedroom villa) for our honeymoon. Supposedly, it's one of the best for couples. There's a book out there called Disney World for Couples that rates all the best ones for romance, service, price, etc. VERY useful. BTW... Disney's Beach Club Villas is commonly mistaken for The Disney Beach Club or Yacht Club... it's not the same. The resort I'm staying at is part of the vacation club resorts. They're SOOOO nice! (pricey, though!). Good luck!

Re: NWR - Disney Hotels
I'm a sucker for the Contemporary because the monorail goes right through it....but I really liked the Animal Kingdom Lodge because it overlooked the animals and if you get a good room, there's a chance you can look out and see them grazing.

Re: NWR - Disney Hotels
Embassy Suites on International Drive. we stayed there about 5 years ago and it was an amazing hotel. the spread they put out for breakfast is incredible! the location is great because your very close to disney and seaworld but you aren't stuck inside the actual park. the international drive strip has so much to offer: great restaurants, outlets for shopping, fun places to go at nite etc. i would definitely look into it

Re: NWR - Disney Hotels
I've stayed at the Yacht Club which is beautiful but expensive. Definitely more of a "couple" type of place. And you can easily walk over to Epcot from there.
The Caribbean Beach is more moderately priced than say the Yacht Club, Grand Floridian, Polynesian etc. It's got a family friendly atmosphere. It's nice though. One of my favorites.
I also stayed at All Star Music but that is definitely geared toward kids and is the cheapest of all the Disney resorts.

Re: NWR - Disney Hotels
it depends on your budget.. if you wanna spend money. go for the polynesian. i cannot stress enough how incredible this hotel is. ALOT nicer than Grand Floridian IMO. i've looked at both hotels and have seen both rooms. and Poly is just incredible. really good food, great atmosphere.
boardwalk is really nice. havent stayed there.
animal kingdom lodge i've been here a million times.. most beautiful hotel. my 2nd fav hotel. the animals near you, the beautiful decor, the food. omg the food. boma is the best "restaurant" i've been to. its a buffet but with waiters and its all african food and omg its just incredible.
if your looking for moderately priced.. i'd go with coronado springs. im staying there for FH and I's 4 year anniversary. its really beautiful and its just relaxing. the food is great too.
i also really loved port orlean's french quarter. its gorgeous, the food is pretty good. theres a little boat that takes you from your hotel to downtown disney.. its really nice and peaceful at night. plus looking at all of the lights reflecting the water w hile you're going there, really romantic. (although i was there with family haha)
carribean beach looks nicer in pics than when i was there. i didnt stay there (we went resort hopping) but it was more plain then the other moderate hotels.
for the value resorts. i've been to all star movies, music and pop century. i hated the all stars.. i liked pop century best out of all of them but i just dont like them. not to be snobby but you can tell the difference of the type of people that actually vacation there. alot of children there.. its just kinda annoying. but for the price, you cant go wrong cause you still get all of the disney benefits. (buses driving you to the parks, buses picking u up and dropping you off to the airport, extra magic hours (3 hours after or 1 hour before park opens the whole park is to you and only the other disney guests)
if you have any questions, please feel free to fm me.. i am an "expert" on disney.. i've gone 7 times in the past 2 years. and i think im going to get my travel agency liscense and specialize in disney. so yeah any questions please ask i love to talk about disney haha

Re: NWR - Disney Hotels
Yes I would have to say if you are used to going to nice hotels then the value is not for you, I am used to the Radisson where there are room service and food courts restaurants etc.
If you go to the value resorts at disney No room service to what I understand no restuarant and not too long of the food court
If you can't afford a deluxe resort then go into a moderate resort...
I do want to try the POLY...

Re: NWR - Disney Hotels
Disney's boardwalk hotel is my all time favorite. It is on a boardwalk and there are a bunch of cute restaurants and little bars. There is also a new one...I think it is called saratoga springs or something like that. It is a spa and has a gorgeous pool. All of these disney hotels are really expensive though! If you want to save money, I would look somewhere off the grounds but close.

Coronado springs is more affordable and very few kids.

Re: NWR - Disney Hotels
All of the Disney Hotels are great in they're own way - it depends what your looking for. Port Orleans French Quaters was beautiful - Polyniseion, Swan-Dolphin - I heard the Corando Springs is also great- I know a couple who honeymooned there and loved it! Good luck!

I love the Caribean Beach Resort! Its not on the monorail track but it has the bus service back and forth to all the parks. And it has a great view of the fireworks everynight from the Magic Kingdom.
