Does anyone find their vendors just 'out of touch'

I feel that of course, when they want your business they contact you and seem there for you every step of the way, but lately I feel my bridal shop and my photographer are just so out of touch when I try and contact them - anyone else feel the same way?

My photographer has been out of state for awhile on family business, so its been hard trying to sit down and truly discuss what we are doing as a package. I am not concern because he did one of my step-sisters', and one of my sisters' wedding. As for my other vendors they will get in contact with me and FH when the wedding is approaching.. I won't worry just yet. I would keep calling them until you get an answer. Don't be afraid to call them, your wedding is in three months.

no, if anything i am the one that is out of touch! i hate using the phone.

Absolutely! This is exactly what happened to us. They remember to call to remind you when your next installment payment is due, but aside from that, they have me wondering if they even will remember to show up and do their jobs!

yep, exactly. this just happened with our travel agent for our honeymoon. along the way he was impossible to reach, and then all of a sudden the final payment is due and he is emailing us like crazy, being all nice.

I have been making it a priority to make sure vendors know who I am. I periodically make payments in person to ensure that I am not just another name with a few $$$$ next to it. I feel like I get personal attention this way. I recommend it.

Yes I do feel this way sometimes, but then I try to remind myself that I am not the only bride they are working with. In fact they are probably all preparing for weddings that are coming up in the next week or so.

Wait - I am not their ONLY bride??? I specifically asked for that to be written right into the contract!

This is actually the one problem I don't have!
My dad makes it a point to pay the ahll payments in person..my florist is just the nicest lady ever and happens to be a prefered vendor of my hall so I've seen her already a few times, plus we keep in touch by email..my DJ is a friend of my dad's..I'm booking my own honeymoon because I work in travel...
And I haven't really tried contacting any one else!
