and um., I have no ideas... we are going away and spending money on that, so should we forgo the gifts this year??

I got hubby a gift certificate for a massage since one year is traditionally paper.

He got me a gift cert. for Victoria Seceret. My favorite store!

How about any ideas for 2nd year???

In the process of planning our first anniversary trip to Disney!!! No 'physical gifts' this year. The vacation is gift enough!

We're big disney nuts, so we rented a house in florida (cheaper and roomier than a hotel) during the winter season, since we've never seen disney during christmas.

We are planning to go to Italy and if we do, we'll probably splurge on something there.

If not, I was think about buying him a really nice watch. I have my eye on a David Yurman ring that I want for myself.

we are going to try and vacay.

for us, i think the vacation is gift enough - and then shopping while on the acation for that little something extra is always mandatory!

if we do not get to get away I am going to try and save for a
- gc for a massage with his favorite holistic healer lady

- binoculars and sign him up for bird watching sessions. (he is obsessed with animals.)

- clothes! The poor man has not bought himself anything in almost a year.

- Collectors Edition DVD's - his alltime favorite gift and thing to collet.

For our first anniversary we bought the Disney Vacation Club....we considered our contract 'paper'.

We are buying a house, moving to a new state and starting new jobs...so I'm not sure how much cash we'll have. And it totally suxs because we haven't bought each other anything since the wedding. If we can afford something...I want to spend our anniversary weekend at either the Fairmont in Lake Oconee or the Ritz in Atlanta and do a 'romance' package. Plus I want to get him tix to every Mets/Braves game since he's not too happy about leaving NY & his sucky (ahem, great) Mets.

Aw Dina, thank you!! But DH said he won't take cars (that was X-mas), houses (his b-day is Tuesday) or babies (next year ) as gifts!

For our first anniversary I got my DH Tix to a Yankee/Red Sox Game (paper) & after spending 4 days out east we went to the Poconos (Ceasars) for 4 nights & on the way home went to the game.
