Re: Seventh Street Cafe, Garden City-Advice
My mom threw my FI and I a small, family e-party there last weekend....the food and atmosphere are real good, but I found the service to be awful! Two of my cousins couldn't come because their dog had a stroke a few hours prior and they had to put her to sleep
we found out last minute that they weren't coming, and when my mom called to tell them we'd be two people less (about an hour b4 our reservation) the hostess got so snippy with her about giving her more notice. The waitress was very unpersonable, also. Hopefully, it was just a one-time experience and they were really stressed out that night or something, but it did kind of put a damper on our evening. HTH.

I actually LOVE that restaurant, and this post reminded me that I haven't been there in awhile! The food is GREAT! And it's a really cute place!

Re: Seventh Street Cafe, Garden City-Advice
I just went there on Thursday and LOVED it! The food is so good. The girl that posted before me was right about the service though. From my experience (I have been there only about 4 times but all 4 times felt the same way) the waitress was not very friendly at all. This past time I went there I went with people from work so there were about 16 of us, and the waitress kept rolling her eyes at us and giving some of the girls dirty looks. She did a great job as far as serving the food on time and making sure everyone had drinks, but if we needed extra (ex: when setting up the table we were short 1 place setting, so we asked her for a knife and fork for someone and she rolled her eyes at us) that is when she would give us a little bit of an attitude. The food is so good there!!!!
