Anyone else HATE the 'GUEST LIST' part of planning a wedding

I feel like the GUEST LIST has given me more stress than anything else! It is a constant problem. I feel like I have been working on it for a year and it is still not done. Nobody cooperates or helps with it, yet I need other people to find out information for it. AHHHHHHH Going insane STILL over this list!

no, i think most brides hate or strongly dislike the guest list part of planning, myself included. no way to get around it though

i hate it-- the work list is the worst part. Im a teacher in a high school and have 17 people in my department... I cant invite all 17 with their spouses but i feel bad making the cuts-- i just know that some people are going to be mad

yeah it was a little stressful, but u'll get through it!

if either set of parents goes a little nuts, u will have to put your foot down... esp if u are paying for the wedding. if they want more guests than u can afford, then they will have to pay for the extras. that's what we're doing.

I hate it because once we think we have it finalized, my FILs tell me 'I forgot to invite X' Last time it was his aunt who passed away's husband. I'm like you forgot your BIL???

We already have our invitations and my FFIL tells me that he needs to invites 20 more people. I freaked out. Luckily we bought extra invitations. UGHHHH!

I hated this too - not only did people keep getting added on - people were being added with no end: while the calligraphy was being done, after the calligraphy mailed me the completed envelopes, and even after FMIL received hers in the mail last week. It's been almost a week since someone's been added so we may finally be done.

Absolutely the WORST part of it all!! I sent my invites out 2 days ago and I'm still collecting names and addresses!! Try to figure that one out! Thank God I ordered plenty of extra invites. I ended up needing all of them!

oh my god this is absolutely the worst part!!!!!!
i have been glued to my computer for 3 days typing out names.... my fh supposedly finished his side and handed me a list with nicknames and no zipcodes... and today he says he will pick up more addresses from his aunt's house??? ummm i thought he was done? ....
and my mom decided to invited every single cousin and second cousin IN ITALY!

It wouldn't be so bad if i had ordered more invites... i even went back an ordered an extra 25 and still not enough!

The guest list is absolutely the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I think I've screamed over it about 15 times.

Compiling my guestlist tops my 10

MOST HATED TASKS of wedding planning.

I feel your pain. I hate it.. I have been working on mine for months. Trying to get names & addresses from FMIL is like trying to squeeze water from a coin.

ME! Most annoying thing ever. My parents and the FILs act like it is a ludicrous request that I have met the people who are going on the guest list. Oh well - I finally just gave up and said invite whoever you want (as long as I don't hate them) as long as you are wililng to pay for those extra people.

Thus saying goodbye to my fantasy of having a small wedding

this has been by far the worst thing for us and the only thing that we get into fights about -
we have an A list we have a B list......
then you have to make this one happy and that one happy ......unless you have unlimited funds I think this is something that ever couple butts heads about -

Oh lord do I hate it. I'm basically done with my half of the guest list and FMIL is working on her list, but FH that's another story. If he wasn't so far away right now, I would choke him. I've been up his a$$ about working on it or at least give me a # of how many people he plans on inviting so I can get the invitations ordered. In his last e-mail to me a few days ago, he tells me that he doesn't know who he's going to invite because one day he's cool with people and the next day he isn't

I'm like hello??????????????? We are getting married this year and its already flying fast. You have to make a decision. Its like pulling teeth. God give me strength. I plan on putting in the order for the invitations in a few weeks and if he doesn't give me a friggin clue on how many people, I'm going Bridezilla on his a$$
