Ever feel slightly Jealous of newly engaged girls?

My FH's friend proposed to his g/f last night, and we saw them about an hour after he 'popped the question' and she was all giddy and all 'I can't belive it!!' I have to admit, I felt a little jealous.

No way. I try to tell them to do everything as soon as possible and not o have a long engagement.

Totally! FH's friend just popped the question and I was jealous- missing the excitement of everyone asking about how and looking at the ring and the first excitement you have as a bride to be about to begin planning. I guess its somewhat natural to miss a part of your life - but now we have other exciting things!

I was just thinking how no one asks me to see my ring anymore..and I mean complete strangers. It's like they know I'm not newly engaged

As much as I am soooo ready to be married and not plan anymore, the overwhelming feeling of being first engaged, I do miss that!

A little, but not really. I'll tell you why: along with the excitement of being newly engaged is the stress of finding a hall for the date you want, and then making sure all the vendors you want are open for your date. It's very stressful. One of our GMs just got engaged and they are having trouble finding a hall for the date they want. I'm happy to be at the point we are, where we are doing the little details, and all the big stuff is taken care of.

2 of my friends got engaged after me and I was soooo happy for them. I'll be honest and I know this is wrong but If I felt that I liked someone's ring better then mine, I would be really jealous

I know it's terrible.

at times, i loved that feeling of showingm y ring to everyone -- well i still do, and just being so excited, well i guess i still am, but different kind of feeling

Yup! This happened the other day when my cousin announced her engagement and now no one seems to give a second glance to my bridal shower in a week and no one has bought anything off the registry!!!
