XP: Please Help!! Dog needs good home!
Hi there, I'm posting this for my brother. My brother and his wife have a 2 year old mixed breed medium-sized (about 30 lbs) female dog named Ella. She is an adorable, affectionate dog who, unfortunately, is very scared of my brother (see below). For this reason, they are trying to find a good home for her. Please help!!
They adopted her from the North Shore Animal League when she was 6 months old and it was obvious that she was severely mistreated in her original home, but they wanted to give her a good home. She warmed up and become attached to my sister-in-law very quickly but still gets very nervous around my brother. Their vet thinks he looks like or has mannerisms similar to her previous owner. When visitors come over, she is nervous at first, but eventually will come up to them when she is comfortable and look for attention. She gets along very well with other dogs. They're trying to find her a quiet home where she can always be comfortable and live a worry-free life. If you are interested or if you know any leads, please respond or FM me - thanks!!!

Maybe they just need more time. My friend adopted an ex-racing Greyhound and it took forever for the dog to like him, but after awhile when the dog realized that he wqs a good guy, he warmed upthat dog is beautiful

he really is sad - he feels bad b/c the dog is always 'on guard' when he's home and i know deep down he feels rejected

I love that dog! Whenever I go to Laura's she warms up really quick to me. I wish we had time for a dog (or could afford one right now) b/c Ella is so sweet!!
ETA: I saw your invite at Laura & Rich's house... it's beautiful!

Is the dog trained (ie: doesn't go all over the place, or chew everything up?)

She is trained and she's a very good dog. She doesn't chew anything, doesn't get in trouble and doesn't go in the house, doesn't get up on the furniture. During the day they leave her in the kitchen and put this little board (about 8 inches) blocking the doorway and she hangs out in the kitchen - she could totally walk over the board real easy but she doesn't b/c shes trained that way.

Thanks. I'm going to talk to FI and the landlord (Parents) and see if it's okay.
