Brides wearing Ivory Dresses...need help
What color are you shoes? Did you have trouble picking them out or finding the right ones? I just went to DSW Warehouse, and bought 2 pairs by trying to match them w/ my swatch (sp?). I'm going to try them on w/ my dress. Nothing seems to be a perfect match, but they are both doable. The sale prices on both of these pairs was $30 and $40. So, I'm trying to avoid getting my shoes from a bridal store. And, they are both leather shoes, someone gave me a tip to try to buy leather instead of satin b/c satin gets really dirty?? Anyway, just want to get others brides' opinion and what you did. Thanks!!

I'm wearing a offwhite dress and found shoes that matched perfectly at DSW warehouse. It cost me $55. It is satin with some sparkle to it. I bought it not knowing if it was gonna match but when i put it on with the dress it looks great with it. I was worried i would have to buy a pair and dye it. I lucked out and found a pair (the first pair I bought) that matched. Good luck.

I have an Ivory gown and bought Ivory satin shoes on sale at DSW (woo-hoo $30!) I have no clue if they will match exactly or not but Im not worried. As long as they were satin - to match the sheen of my gown, I was ok. I really dislike dyeable shoes so that was never an option. My shoes will barely peek from the hem of my gown and Im okay with a slight variation. I think a good test is: While wearing you gown and shoes, can someone standing a few feet away notice the difference? If not - stick with what you have.

But didn't you need your shoes before the length of the gown was hemmed? My seamstress is not going to do the hem, until I have my shoes, so she knows the hight of the shoes.

Wow! DSW has been a great place to go to for Bridal Shoes. I got mine there also. My dress is ivory, and I found my shoes there. They look great with the dress. I think you should keep them if they are similar. People will never notice the shoes. The dress is so long!

My gown is not in the store yet. Will be soon (yea!) so I haven't tried the 2 on together. Since I didn't care about a slight color variation, really like the Ken Coles and was eager to do at least one wedding thing budget-conscious - I got the shoes.Welcome New Vendors
