East Wind Inn RIDICULOUS Room prices!!!!

I'm getting married at East Wind next April and have been dying for them to get a general manager for the new inn, so I could find out about staying there our wedding night. We just got it in the mail, it's over $400 a night for a room with a Jacuzzi, and the lowest priced room is about $300!!! That's insane!!! I called about a discount for brides & grooms booked with them, 10% off!!! WOW $40 off!!! I was very upset. Does anyone else agree with me????

East Wind Inn RIDICULOUS Room prices!!!!

That is crazy. My guests are staying at the Wyndam Wind Watch Hotel. The rooms are $149/night. We looked at their suites and they weren't too terribly impressive, so I think my FI and I are just going to get a regular room. Becky

Bridal Suite at Fox Hollow Inn is under $200

It is a completly brand new hotel and is absolutely beautiful. You can't beat the price. It is even cheaper than teh Garden City Hotel and so much prettier... Big fireplaces, warm woods, lots of flowers, canopy beds with seperate rooms... It's gorgeous.

Becky ~ Room prices

I stayed in a regular room at the Wyndham WindWatch on my wedding night. My husband really wanted the suite, but I couldn't see spending that kind of money just to sleep. My reception ended at 12:00am, we got to the hotel at 1:45 am, slept till 8am, and then left to go to my mom's for a post wedding BBQ. In my opinion, the plain room served it's purpose well! If someone has an earlier ending reception and wants a place to unwind, I can maybe see going for the extra money, but all we did was sleep!

What someone at the Wyndam told me

When I called to do my room block the coordinator told me straight out to 'Save my Money' and not waste it on a big fancy suite for one night. She is right. We are going to be getting to our room after midnight. Honestly, after being up all day we will both be so tired. A bigger room is not going to do much that late at night. We will barely have time to see it anyway. You are better off spending the $$ on your honeymoon.

Wyndham WW

I basically got the same advice too, but I was thinking of getting the Presidential suite for the day of my wedding. I wanted a common place where all of my BM and mom could be to get our hair and make-up done. I'm from upstate, and we don't have a place to live yet(we have not found a place we LOVE yet). Also all of my BM will be staying here, so it will be easy for all. This suite has a kitchen, dining room table for 8, a living room area that fits 12 comfortably, and a separate sleeping area. It is very nice, but not worth it if your 'just going to go to sleep'.The woman told me that if you block rooms there, they will bump you and your husband up to a better room. I would check into it. Also FYI- I was able to get them to come down on their price for my August wedding room block. They gave me $139 per night. Continued success to all...
