Busy 'MRS.' day...
So I finally got my new SS card complete with all of my names in tact and today I venture out to various institutions to change my moniker. Notice I didnt say that I was changing my identity. I am not in the witness protection program.

I only said that because I am really tired of reading that people really think they lose their identities if they assume the name of their husbands. It is a name, not a heart, a soul or a personality. The HR person at work tried to convince me that I should hyphenate or keep my last name. I wish I told her to shove it up her patootie. I know who I am, I know who raised me. Youd think that as one of the 'older ones' here on LIW I would have more of an attachment to my maiden name especially since I have been in the workforce longer, but in the immortal words of Tevye 'TRADITION!'
As far as ease goes, I will let you know when I get back from DMV. I have all of my documents. I just hate waiting on line!

Leslie, I know how strong you are as a person and as a woman. There is not one ounce of who you are inside that has left because you got married. I just found your choice of words hysterical!!

Of course you did. You are my favorite legal eagle!
By the way, DMV was a pure horror.
