Wedding Bands?( Music- not rings)
Hi Ladies,Did anyone have a live band for their wedding- who did you use? how were they? how many band members, and any price range info you could share?
We're looking for a band that can play motown, classic rock, r & b, and dance music ... starting to panic cause we're running out of time. Aaaak !
Thanks in advance for any info!

Check out Niteflite, we're using them & they are great & don't have an agent so their prices are more reasonable. They're a vendor on here.

You should check out Soul Revival, they are a vendor on here, really fun band. They play everything: R&B, Funk, 80's, Classic Rock, and their Singers are amazing. They are all young guys (late 20's/early 30's) and this is one of the things FH and I loved about them, tons of energy.www.soulrevivalband.com

Re: Wedding Bands?( Music- not rings)
I used The Mystic and loved them. Definitely the best choice I made for my wedding. Music can make or break a wedding, they made the wedding. The dance floor was always packed. They have 8 members, the price is around $5000, but well worth it. The male and female lead singers are amazing. They do a wide range of music, their song list is on their website. People still talk about my band to this day.Their website is themysticmusic.com.
Try and see them live if you can first though, the website doesn't do them justice.
Good luck!

Definitely check out franklin wayne. There are 6 bands (i think) and you can see clips on their website and call and ask them to send you demo dvds before deciding which showcase you will be seeing...the bands can play everything! They were awesome! I think you would like:
Time piece
Heart & Soul
Vision
(we had trouble deciding btw the three of those)
Good luck!

we used The Projekt! Everyone is still raving about them! There were times in the night that our guests even looked over to the stage to see if it was really them singing because they sounded like the original! We had all types of music, Italian, rock n roll, oldies, r&b, dance!

I agree. I saw The Projekt at my friend's wedding and they are AMAZING!!! They are a 7 piece band and can play mostly anything. The only reason we are not going with them is because they cannot play the traditional Greek music. Their contact information and many other good things are on their website (www.theprojekt.com).
Hope that helps.

I am using The Projekt...I've seen them about 10 times at bridal shows in the past year and they've been amazing everytime. I wanted a DJ until I saw them...they were the band that changed my mind.

We used Ken James Productions - They were fabulous. We use them alot in my family. We had some pretty unique out of the ordinary music we wanted for our Ceremony, Grand Entrance and for Dinner music and they were able to learn it without a problem and it sounded amazing. We had 9 pieces for the reception, 4 pieces during the cocktail hour and 3 for the ceremony.

Also, Peat Moss and the Fertilizers do weddings if you guys are bar hoppers. They come with a DJ to spin the songs that they don't do but they sing a much larger variety of stuff then what you hear at the Crazy Donkey, including motown. They cost $5,000 and they wear tuxes (in case you were wondering).
