wedding reception halls with a view

Hi brides,

I just got engaged! I am looking for advice on picking a wedding location. My FH and I are looking at places in Long Island. We will be checking out Leonards this weekend. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ideally I am looking for something indoors with windows, a location with a view.

Check out Lands End . Also the Liberty House in NJ, has a beatiful view of the Manhattan skyline. HTH

That was one thing FH and I agreed upon. We wanted it outdoors on the water...
Places we checked were:
Cresent Beach Club
John Anthony's (now Venetian Yacht)
Cheatu La Mer
and of course
The Riviera
It was simple and has a 'homey' feel to it.
We wanted one wedding at a time too so we went with The Riviera. All those places I felt were really nice too!

Whereabouts are you looking? If you are willing to travel to suffolk, there are lots of places that offer views (I am sure their are on the rest of the island as well, I'm just not familiar with them!):

Land's End-water
Timberpoint-golf course
Venetian Yacht Club-Water
Atlantica (My place!)-Ocean
Eastwind-grounds and gardens
Flowerfield's-grounds/garden
Thatched Cottage-lake/gardens
Beach Club Estate-lake

Definitely check out Land's End...IMO the best views anybody has to offer. Second best, again IMO, is either Lombardi's on the Sound or the Venetian. Good luck!

Definitely check out 'The Crescent Beach Club'. It has always been my dream place... I'm so happy I'm getting married there! The view is AMAZING... you fee like you're on a cruise ship! They do one wedding at a time, and everyone always raves about the food at their weddings. It's a very impressive place... I love going there just for dinner or summertime lunches. So beautiful!

If you go, ask for Denise. She's a sweetheart!
