David's Bridal - How do the discountson BM/MOB/MOG dresses work if I get my dress there?

I havent even begun to think about dresses for myself quite yet. Im 98% sure we are using David's Bridal for our BM dresses, but won't start buying them until late summer.

I haven't ruled out getting a dress there for myself.

The question is.. the MOG really likes a dress from there and is antsy to buy it.

I know they offer discounts to all of them if I buy my dress there.. do I have to buy it first? do I tell FMIL to wait until I go shopping? Or can I call and register with them and she can get the discount later if I decide on them?

How does this work?

i got my dress at David's in Maryland. They told me BM dresses were somewhere between 10-20% off if I bought my dress there too. plus, I got 20% my invitations from them. They give you a ton of coupons when you buy your dress. Actually, FM if you want my coupons, I'm not using them.

Yes, you have to buy your dress first. BMs, MOB/MOG all get 15% off their dresses and shoes if you buy your dress there.

Personally, I don't think 15% is enough of a savings to make or break anything. If you THE dress at David's, then great, but don't pressure yourself to buy your dress there.

Your BM should get 15% off there dresses, shoes.
If you get a nice consultnt she will help you out with other stuff.

Always check the clearence aisle sometimes they have a ton of dresses in the same color different sizes...

My mom bought her MOB dress originally 218.00 on sale for 99.00 then they took 50% off that and another 15% off it came too 48.88

You do have to buy your gown first, but EVERYTHING you order after that is discounted. EVERYTHING....on the safe side, be the one who orders/buys it...even out of state, i received a discount on an accessory item.

There are alot of catches to Davids bridal so choose carefully if you do get your dresses there. They may be slightly cheaper but they charge for storage of the dresses. Also most people do not get their alterations done there because they contract their work out. And if you go elsewhere for alterations you do not get a 'cap' on the alterations because you bought your dresses at davids. Most bridal shops have a cap on alterations as well as if the bride gets their dress in the shop the BM get a 10% discount on their dresses and any brides accesories... What you save at davids you pay later on...Good luck!!!!
