Do you think it's too early to start looking for an apartment with June 1st occupancy?

FH wants to wait because all the ones he's calling want asap or May 1st occupancy. He says to wait until next month sometime. What did you guys do?

Re: Do you think it's too early to start looking for an apartment with June 1st occupancy?

When I was looking for an apartment I found it necessary to sign the contract at the begining of the month for the following month but look at apartments the week before I signed. So if I was looking for a place to start renting on June 1, I would go April 30/May 1 and sign a contract that begins June 1st, but I would look at places the week of April 23.

Definitely...
Plus...sometimes it's horrible out there. You know...with selling homes.
