NWR: OK, so this is alittle embaressing, but can anyone recommend a good deodorant??

It's NOT that I'm stinky! It's that I sweat as much as if I'm standing over a firepit!

Can anyone please recommend a deodorant that REALLY fights wetness? Or any tips on how to minimize sweating?

I get so tired of always wearing dark colored blouses so that nobody can see me sweating through my shirt.
Thanks a lot ladies!

Well, I don't have a BRAND recommendation, but in my own experience, I've found that the aerosol kinds work better for wetness. (Sorry, I know it's not great for the ozone layer or for earth itself)
But, I use Lady Speed Stick Orchid Blossom because I don't have a wetness problem. When I tried the aerosol ones, I tend to dry out really bad because it's really drying. So, maybe try that. Good Luck!

i don't know if you want to go this far... but a friend of mine visited the determetologist about it. I think they gave her a pill to swallow every day and she never had a problem sweating again. I can't remember exactly what it was... but i know it worked.

I used to have a big sweating problem and I use certain dri. You put it on at night and within 4 days it will eliminate the sweating.

It does sting when you first so don't put it on if you just shaved your underarms.
After a while you will only need to put it on 3 times a week.

HTH.

Re: NWR: OK, so this is alittle embaressing, but can anyone recommend a good deodorant??

I find that degree works really good especially in the summer. Also from what I understand antipersperents(sorry about the spelling)aren't good for you on a day to day basis because they can cause your sweat glands or pores to become clogged and your body needs to sweat. I could be wrong Im not a doctor or anything but I would check it out before making it an every day ritual.
Good Luck

I'm kind of too nervous to take a pill. I've heard that you can do Botox also, but that really scares me. I don't want to stop my body from doing what is natural, I just want to minamize it. Thanks though.

I will try the areosol ones. I will just have to sacrifice the ozone layer for dryness

Oh, I haven't tried this! Can I get it at regular stores? Like CVS or Target, or something? I'm so excited to try this!

Thanks sooo much ladies for all your help!!

Edited to say: If I put it on at night and then shower in the morning, do I reapply in the morining? Dosen't it wash off?

Definitely try Certain Dri. You can get it at any store like CVS or Rite Aid. You can put it on at night and then use regular deodorant in the morning (for fresh smells )

I have the exact same problem! I don't smell but I always have wetness. I also live in Dallas where it is almost ALWAYS hot so it seems like I never get a break. I just ordered the Certain Dri so we will see if it works! Just in time for the wedding!

Re: NWR: OK, so this is alittle embaressing, but can anyone recommend a good deodorant??

Thanks ladies, funny b/c I was talking to FH today about this.....

I was just reading people's reviews on this though & it says nearly everyone experienced irritation, so if using for your wedding, try it well in advance.

It also said if itchy don't scratch it and to follow the directions closely.

Apparently it works wonderful though

If I were ever to get botox, it would be for the wrinkles on my forehead. My arm pits are safe from Botox!!
