Re: NWR-Flowers online for Mother's Day?
yes. while the flowers were beautiful, they didn't deliver the correct arrangement i had ordered...and i paid more for a fancy vase and my mom got the plain one...and i still got charged...but she didn't know the difference. i would've complained, but it was months by the time i knew about it...while visting my mom i got her some flowers and pulled out a vase and she says, 'that's the one my mother's day flowers were in' (i tried to hide my disappointment)but the service is still great and the flowers are still wonderful.

All of these places charge a fortune. Its easier and cheaper to call a florist near the recipients home. Most of the time thats who FTD uses, you just have to pay extra FTD fees to use their website.

Re: NWR-Flowers online for Mother's Day?
Since we are going to be at DH's mom's for mother's day (and mine will be in Italy. Lucky!) I just order flowers from proflowers.com for DH's step-mother from us and her kids. So far so good!

I have ordered from Proflowers a lot (and have received a few orders from them too), and I love them. The thing I love about them is that the flowers usually arrive right before they bloom fully, so the recipient gets to enjoy the full life of the flowers as opposed to when you get ones that are already blooming. Just my experience!

I like Pro-flowers as well. Mostly, I try to find a local florist close to where the person lives. I google it.

Re: NWR-Flowers online for Mother's Day?
I had problems with 1800 flowers- they were supposed to send tulips and they sent a potted plant because they said that they ran out of tulips. I was annoyed because I ordered tulips and they said it says in small print that they can substitute if necessary-Well, needless to say- I got my money back and now stick to my local florist.

Re: NWR-Flowers online for Mother's Day?
I've used 1-800 flowers and wasn't happy. I'd go online and find a florist in the area that can deliver them directly to your mom.

I've received flowers from 1800 flowers and wasn't too thrilled with them. the pictures look much better than the actual product.

Re: NWR-Flowers online for Mother's Day?
I did not have a great experience last year. I ordered a specific Lennox vase arrangement and when I called to confirm they said that they could not ship that vase to that area of Arizona?? Then on top of that they Never got them there on time so They were delivered the next day and I fought with a manager and they gave me acoupon for $30 off the next time I used them. I did not want to use them but that was where they got me!

Re: NWR-Flowers online for Mother's Day?
I used or got flowers from both FTD and 1-800 flowers.I never had a problem with FTD but they are more expensive.
1-800 flowers: 2 bad experiences with red roses.
Flowers started wilting right away in 2 differents instances. Had also an issue with flowers delivered the day after the scheduled delivery.
FH just got me some flowers for the office on Monday (Nice surprise!
) from a local florist and it's was really nice. Tulips (we know those are not 'easy').Welcome New Vendors
