Will you be attending yours?I am not... I want to make one grand entrance.
IMO I think it takes away from your entrance---
if you mingle at the CH then why be annouced at the begining of the reception when people just saw you for an hour b4... JMHO.

at first i wasn't going to attend my CH but i figure..we're spending so much money for all this food we might as well go, mingle, and enjoy everything we saved so hard to provide for our guests

I am attending my CH if it kills me!It has been more stress to defunk our menu choices for the CH then anything else....I am sooo going to be there!

I loved attending my CH. It was great seeing everyone after the ceremony where my grand entrance happened .It was a chance to say hello to everyone, eat and mingle.
Wouldn't have missed it!
eta: we had some cocktail hr food in the bridal suite before but I wanted to be with everyone after.

Originally I didn't want to attend the cocktail hour because I wanted the 'grand entrance' as well but after talking to a couple of past brides they said that they are so glad that they went to their cocktail hours because they got so many hello's out of the way.I'm having about 300 ppl. at my wedding so I would rather say all the hellos during the cocktail hour opposed to when the band is playing and I want to dance.

FH and I will be attending our CH.I don't want to miss anything that day. We paid enough money and it goes by way too fast.
I am getting all the major pic's out of the way before my Ceremony.
IMO I still believe that the entrance into the reception room will still be as fantastic, even though we are doing it this way.

we are not , they set up the whole bridal suite for us with everything thsts in the cocktail hour, plus we have TV's in there that we can watch whats happening..

nope.. we made out CH 1 1/2 hours long so that the guests can enjoy it and so that we can have sometimes to enjoy our food and relax as well.Then we will make our entrance..

Our CH will be about 1 1/2 hours. We are getting married at the RH and they gave us an hour for the ceremony that will only really take 30 minutes. They are opening up the CH early. Right after we and the BP are going into the bridal suite. If the mood strikes us we will venture to the CH hour. We'll just play it by ear.
