at work also. what's on? the stresses of wedding planning?

I love that Home Depot commercial (i think that's what it's for) where the wife says she'd like to do the garden in the same colors as their wedding flowers and the guy says, 'we had flowers at our wedding?' @!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lance Armstrong's ex-wife is discussing marriage.

I feel it's extremely important for us all to watch and kinda listen to what she's saying.

NOT saying I agree with every word she's saying 100%.

She's making HUGE statements that I feel hold a lot of truth.

I catch Oprah sometimes on Ch. 10 (on cable!) at 7pm. They rerun her show every weeknight, for anyone who misses it!

She was basically talking about NOT losing yourself when you get married. That there are huge misconceptions about marriage and women are not talking about that.

She was saying that just because you are entering into this union you shouldn't forget the things that made you who you are, the things that you love, the things that you like to do.

Basically realize who you are BEFORE going into the marriage and stay there when you're in it.

Don't be misguided by the 'rock on your left hand'. It's not all about the wedding and the ceremony and the planning. People spend SO MUCH time and effort planning this glamorous wedding that they forget what they're really planning for... a life, a marriage with someone.

VERY interesting. She wrote a great article in Glamour magazine too if anyone read it.

I never really get preachy with stuff, but being that this is about marriage etc....

Being future brides, we're all spending so much time on planning the wedding, I'm telling you ladies that I really feel that this is an important Oprah for us all to be watching.

Like it was said, it's on again at 7pm on tv55, channel 10.... etc.

I read the article at the gym the other day and I thought it was very poignant.

A good analogy from the article: It's like the way a baby shower in no way at all prepares you for being a parent. Being engaged in no way prepares you for marriage.

It was just a neat perspective that I think as bride busy planning planning planning you sometimes forget.

I just watched the last half hour of it. It is definitely worth watching. I think sometimes we get so caught up in the planning of the wedding day that we forget what we are preparing for (the marriage). I'm going to try and catch the beginning of the show tonight at 7.

What a great show today....very interesting. The book is called 'lies at the alter' by Robin Smith....275 questions to ask each other before you get married....
