Re: Oprah today?? PLEASE WATCH IT
I felt the show was a little depressing and like anti getting married. How many times did Oprah say thats why I'm not getting married... I understand the main idea, not to lose who you are. I kind of feel like making this commitment of course your life changes and in ways you change and I think thats a given, and that it is ok!

I can think of a million reasons why Oprah isn't married
.. sorry she just annoys me with her power trips and how she makes herself the cover of EVERY one of her magazines.... who has a black and white ball and then wears red herself... yikes!

i really don't like oprah. i think she needs to just being a talk show host and stop trying to run everyone's life. her and dr phil can go scratch. and does it really make sense to have a divorced woman ( lance's ex) give advice on marriage?

sometimes you need to separate the message from the messenger. The show was actually insightful. C'mon the fact is half of marriages end in divorce- HALF. Way too many people put more emphasis on a wedding than the marriage. Don't mean to be party pooper here but I'm being real. Who better than a divorced woman or a happily married couple to give advice? We learn from mistakes- those of others and our own. Good Luck with your marriage ladies. All the best.

Of course. She offered valuable advice. She didn't want people who are engaged to be married/newly married/not married yet etc etc to make the same mistakes she did. I'm glad she said it. Someone had to. It's amazing how many people out there (not you specifically; but in general) believe in that fairytale idea of marriage and think that it won't take alot of work, regardless of how much you love your spouse.

Being future brides, we're all spending so much time on planning the wedding, I'm telling you ladies that I really feel that this is an important Oprah for us all to be watching.
Like it was said, it's on again at 7pm on tv55, channel 10.... etc.
