I've seen this happen to other people but I never expected to see it on one of my RSVPs!!
Someone added their child (about 4 or 5 years old) who was not invited!! She wrote Mr. and Mrs. X and son X!! Actually put an exclamation point at the end, underlined son X, and wrote a 3 and circled it! I was totally shocked! I feel like she could have at least called and asked. Unbelieveable!

I am sorry but that is horrible. People have some nerve. You would think that they would want an 'adult night' or a break from the kids for 1 night. Well - they should pay for 3 people then if they took the liberty of inviting the third

I know, I felt like I was being yelled at! I guess she was mad that I didn't invite him, but we didn't invite any children except for the ones in the BP and FH's first cousins.

What are you going to do now if other parents come and see another kid there?
I would not let these people get away with that,

Re: I've seen this happen to other people but I never expected to see it on one of my RSVPs!!
The fact that they underlined and circled it would've made me so mad. If someone did that to me, there's no way they'd be allowed to bring their kid. It's one thing to ask, but what they did was extremely rude.

Omg so true without a doubt! I would NEVER let that kid come at this point and I would uninvite the parents as well. Talk about RUDE!

I'm curious as to how you're going to handle this! What NERVE.... I sometimes wonder if people even realize how insensitive and rude they are....ugh.

I thought about that. All of the children in my immediate family are in the wedding party. FH has a cousin that has 2 kids we didn't invite and I feel bad. I talked to FMIL today and she said they won't know that this boy isn't a first cousin, so she said not to worry about it.

We decided just to ignore it and let them bring him. Everyone else in their family is coming, so I guess they have no one to watch him. If she had called and said this to me I probably would have said yes anyway. I just don't like the way it was done.
The boy's cousin is in the bridal party. They are acually my brother's in-laws. I know he would stick up for me and it would start a huge fight in their family. We decided it's not worth the drama. Nothing will ruin our day!
