Donation favor wording...what do you think?

I am doing a donation in memory of my father who recently passed away from MS...how does this sound??

In lieu of a favor, a donation has been made in loving memory of 'Dad's name'
to
The New York Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society

Thank you for sharing in our special day.

I am buying blank ivory post cards from staples and will print them with black ink and a black border.

any suggestions would be gladly appreciated!!!
