Re: tuxedo advice

We're prob going to use Black Tie (http://www.blacktieofny.com/index.html)

We went to Men's Wearhouse this weekend and did not receive good customer service and the manager told us that they could only fit 3 men at a time and if we had a larger party, they would have to come in on different days, they don't provide any tux for you to try on - you order from a catalog, and if you go now, they tell you they are too busy to deal with future weddings or answer questions b/c it's prom season and we can wait - although they were all standing around talking when we went in. FH had enough of this BS and we left after looking at the catalog - they have good prices, but they suck at selling!

Betsy,
Which Men's Wearhouse did you go to?
FH and the guys got their tuxes at Men's Wearhouse. They used 2 different stores because it was easier for some of the other guys in Nass.

Re: tuxedo advice

We went to the one at the Smithaven Mall by Bed, Bath and Beyond.

ETA: That's what we thought too, since my father and bro live OOT, but with the way they treated us, it just turned us off. I know they've worked great with other wedding parties, but not for us.

Although, they weren't as bad as After Hours at Smithaven when I took my bro in to get measurements thinking this was where were going to go. The saleswoman kept interrupting us while we asked her questions b/c she was on her cell phone on a personal call and was saying 'No way, oh my god, like, no way.' Needless to say, when she finished measuring my bro, we walked out on her with the slip of paper.

Re: tuxedo advice

We havent looked yet, but I have heard great things about Rogers. They have a store in Babylon and one in Smithtown. They might even have more locations.
Also, my family has always used Ginos in Farmingdale on 109 and were always happy.

We went to After Hours last night just to look for a second and they didn't even say hello to us or acknowledge us at all and we were the only ones in the store and there were 3 salespeople.... I guess if you don't look like ahigh school kid you don't get service!
