Approx Price range for a 'day of' wedding coordinator ?

Hello ladies and gents,

can anyone out there share with me the price range for a day of wedding co-ordinator? I'm having ceremony and reception in the same location.

You can get one for $500 as well, considering they charge you about 15-20% of total wedding cost to plan a whole wedding, 500 sounds reasonable for one day...

However, if you got a good maitre d' and and delegate some of the day of tasks to your bridal party you shouldn't need a wedding coordinator, its all up to you. HTH! :)

I found them to be anywhere from $500-$1250+

Am I the only person that is bothered by WP fee's being a percentage of the wedding? I don't feel like they will be puttin 100% into getting me the best deal if their fee will be higher if I pay more. And to me, if you're spending more- you're prpbably getting more & don't need as many of the services that they are offering-- so why the percentage? I think it should be a flat fee based on your needs. I don't know- I may be the only one with this twisted view- but it seems strange to me.

a DOC is a day of coordinator and basically she will take away all the hassle from you on the wedding day. she will confirm all your vendors and times, be in charge of the tip envelopes, be the go to person in case any problems should arise, basically make sure everything runs smoothly.

Everyone we saw was between $500-1500... Since they were all less than I was expecting it evened out the playing field and I went with the person I felt would be as conscientious about detail as I would be and went with the AMAZING Rosalie! I feel it was the best decision I've made so far! And since I'm stressing a lot less FH thinks it was an excellent idea as well (he wasn't initially a fan of doc idea)...
