Need opinion on makeup/hair changes after trail today (with pics)

First, the pictures (then at the end, the questions!)

Serious face with veil:

Smiling with veil:

Without the veil (I should have tilted my head down because Mom is really short):

The back (don't worry, I'm getting a clip so you can't see the bobby pins):

Side:

Other side:

Now. This is a few hours later, after being out in the wind, and after pulling those bangs away from my eye a million and one times:

So now, my questions... Here is what I was thinking of asking her:

1. Go lighter on the dark portion of eyeshadow. Something more brownish to match the lipstick better. Especially in the second picture, my eyes look too dark. It's a Sunday morning/early afternoon wedding.

2. Spray the heck out of those bangs with hair spray, cut them, curl them, do something with them to stop them from poking me in the eye all day!

3. Don't use eyeliner on my lower lids.

3. Lift the headpiece higher so my hair isn't covering the front.

I have to get a hair clip for the back anyway so I was thinking of getting a really small silver flower clip to pin back my bangs if she can't do something with them.

Did anyone have this same problem and know of a good solution instead of pinning them? I kind of like the look. Maybe if she parted it closer to the middle?

Any critiques (good or bad, I can take it!) or suggestions would be great!

Thanks ladies!

I agree with going with lighter eye shadow - it looks nice but might be a bit too dark for a daytime wedding.

I would probably have the bangs swoop in the front and pinned at the side. The hairstyle looks really nice but I would go nuts with it going in my eyes all night!

I think the liner on the lower lid looks nice.

Yes, I agree - you should let the headpiece show a little more.

I really like the hairstyle - looks very pretty. But I can see where you want to control the bangs.

Good Luck!

You look beautiful. I might suggest a lighter lipstick though, just to brighten/soften the look.

I THINK YOU CAME OUT GORGEOUS!!!!!!! YOU CAN TRY FOR THE LIGHTER EYESHADOW, BUT REMEMBER YOU WANT IT TO SHOW UP IN PICTURES!

I think the eye shadow was a bit too heavy because it flatens your eyes.

What if you have the bangs pulled to the side instead of being loose?

Overall you look beautiful!!

I like it. Maybe a lighter eye and lip but stunning!

1. hmm, I didn't notice until you described it, but yeah, maybe a lighter or just different color of shadow could open up your eyes more. What she did seems to close your eyes, and they're so gorgeous. I'm sure there's a way to bring them out a lot more. Maybe do some research on the web from various makeup sites as to what colors/approaches bring out your coloring the best.

2. it's too bad the bangs are so annoying because they look BEAUTIFUL like that!

It would be a shame to pin them but if they're going to drive you crazy, it's not worth it! maybe there is a way she can curl/flip them a little further back.

3. yes, eyeliner on the bottom closes in the eyes. she might try a lighter shade of eyeliner on the bottom. it doesn't have to be the same color as the top.

4. Definitely pin the headpiece higher!

Too bad the bangs annoy you. I think you look great!

I would not change a think except for the tiara. It may be hard to put it higher. You may need to get a different one that is thicker.

I love the entire look!!

Re: Need opinion on makeup/hair changes after trail today (with pics)

Thanks so much ladies!

I think I'm going to ask her to cut the bangs shorter to actual bang length so they rest above my eye instead of below, and then she can 'curve' them and spray the heck out of them with hairspray.

I'll also buy a clip just in case, because as you can see by the last pic, they settle over a few hours. I want to be able to see with both eyes that day.

Check out the pic I attached, I'm thinking this might be a better look. She has the part and what I call 'wispies' hanging down which I love, but they're not in her eyes.

I'd like the back to be curlier than that though, I like the way she did it in my trial.

What do you like better, my trial with shorter bangs, or the attached pic?

I think the MU looks great. I would agree with the bangs since they are covering your pretty eyes, and they're annoying you anyway. I would also agree to move up the head pirce a tad, but you do look beautiful!

I like your trial better. I say have her pin them back very softly, or cut them a bit.

Like your trial better than the other pic.

maybe she could cut the bangs on an angle to frame your face and keep them out of your eyes?
