My shower review and pics!!!
My shower was yesterday, May 21st @ Villa Marchello in Ozone Park, Queens. (My Engagement party was also there).They REALLY shocked me. I'm very Anti-surprise bridal shower, and they managed to get it past me. I originally thought my mother sent the invites out recently and the shower would be sometime in LATE June/early July.
They got me there thinking it was my moms best friends Surprise 50th bday....Her friends daughter even called my mom a couple of times to make me think it really was her party. My mom was even saying that her best friend didnt want to go to this party on Sunday, and she hoped she went to the party, bc it was HER party (but, in fact, it was mine..lol)
When I walked in, everyone yelled SURPRISE! And I'm like, no wait! im not denise, dont say surprise for me!! THEN my mother comes running over, and shook me and said are u surprised? I STILL didnt get it.
Then I looked and saw all women, THEN I got it
The food was good, it was so nice to see some family I dont get to see....

The day, of course, isnt complete w/out something happening...Right before I left for the party, a house around the corner went on fire and smoke filled my room and my hair smelled like smoke, lol.
Its horrible to say, but thank god for the smoke, bc I would have seen some cars by my FH's house and would have known. THank god, no one was hurt in the fire though
