So Long, Farewell.......

Well its down to the final countdown and I know tomorrow I’ll be busy running around and then off to my parents’ house with no computer access, so therefore, it is time for my goodbye.

It’s finally time for me to marry my best friend. Although we met over 4 years ago we had broken up after a year and a half. However, looking back it was the best thing for us. It made us realize that WE were meant to be and we both realized we were ready for such a strong commitment.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind….they didn’t go by without unnecessary stress: no bm dresses 8 days before the wedding, gm gift arriving broken & not resent in time for RD, unity candles getting warped in the car, but finally the time has come…

I’ve woken up with butterflies the last few days. We had our rehearsal at the church on Friday and it was such a wonderful feeling being on the altar, looking at the person I love most in the world. Tuesday night was our rehearsal dinner and looking around at all the people that love us meant so much to me. I’ve been super emotional lately and just appreciative for all I have.

Which leads me to….

Ron & Liz, what a fantastic concept…this website has been such a terrific resource from day one. Any assistance you might need was right there at your fingertips at any time of the day/night, and no question was too stupid (well….. ) Yet not only was this a website, it became a true community. This site became so much more than just a help with wedding planning--along the way I formed brilliant friendships with so many girls. It was the one place that you could go to and talk on and on about every tiny detail of your day or any concerns you may have and there were girls that understood where you were coming from or were in the same boat. I just want to say thank you for making such a remarkable website available to us.

Now onto my girls….

Thank you to all who gave me advice, great ideas and help; there are so many little things I’m doing at my wedding that I would not have even thought of if it wasn’t for this site.

To my rockin’ 06 board…where do I begin? At one time I almost became part of the 04’ers, and somehow things worked out as they did and I found myself on your board. A bride was made to feel welcome from day 1. You’ve been there every step of the way with me. I remember back to those early days and all the initial questions (any thoughts on this reception hall; how do I ask my bm to be in the wedding party; where should I go to look at gowns) and I was always met with support, advice and wonderful ideas. I remember my first 06 GTG at Cozymel’s….our weddings seemed like forever away and it was the first time I was able to put the names w/ the faces….many of those faces became close friends in the year and a half to follow.

I’m hesitant to do individual shoutouts to everyone because I know I’m bound to forget someone, and I wouldn’t want to hurt anyone….to my closest girls (you know who you are) thank you so much for keeping me sane this past year, there were some rough times and you were always there to listen, offer your support or make me smile. I’ll never forget and I’m here for you! I hope our friendships only grow stronger in time and will continue as the anniversaries get celebrated and the babies start coming

To my fellow date twins and fellow weekend wedding brides (especially Kathleen, Michele, Kelly), may you all be radiant and have the time of your lives. Enjoy every moment! The weather should be wonderful. Have a fabulous honeymoon!!!!!

Best wishes and congratulations to all of you 06’ers who still have weddings coming up. The days leading up (& I’m sure the day of) fly by so relax and enjoy it the best you can. And thank you for all of your advice, friendship and support again!

I hope to jump on Sunday morning for a quick goodbye, but that may not be the case….in any respect, we’ll be back from our honeymoon on Aug. 6…ciao for now.

Cindy, that was a very heartfelt goodbye! I remember when you joined the 06 board & probably one of the first to welcome you aboard! You have always been an inspiration to watch with your wedding planning! The stress you have dealt with leading up to this magic day is so worth it! Like you said, when you look into Ray's eyes, you will be so relieved & happy to be at this point in time!

Remember to take a moment to take it all in with your new 'dh' This day is going to go fast (trust me) but remember to live in the moment & for what is going on at that moment. NEVER ask what time it is, just enjoy!!!

Cindy!!!!!! I heart you to pieces and I feel lucky to have met someone as wonderful as you. I wish you and (almost) DH an incredible wedding day, an amazing HM and a beautiful forever together.

Omg Cindy, you're getting me all teary eyed!!!!!! I'm sooooooooo happy for you and Ray and I just can't wait to watch you walk down that aisle and marry the man of your dreams, the love of your life!!! I remember all the hardships you went through with the church and now your BM dresses, completely undeserving for such a sweet person, but I'm glad you were strong enough to get through it and now you can enjoy all those efforts!!!!

I'm going to miss you so much while you're away on your HM, so you better take lots of pics to make up for it!!!!!
