Dear MRocc, My cousin used to live there, and she absolutely loved it. Her favorite island was Muai, but she told me they were all beautiful. There is a website, www.Hawaii.com, which is great, you can look at hotel prices, where to visit, and even get vacation packages. Good luck, and I'm sure you will have a great time. I went to Hawaii, depends on what you want to do. I saw the Big Island and Oahu, so I can give you a couple of experiences. The big Island is Magnificent, everything, from mountains,to observatories, to beaches, farm country, black sand. Its a great place to explore if you want to do more than just lay on a beach. Outrigger hotels were nice and not really expensive we stayed in Oahu, if you have to stay at all there. The only way we really truly enjoyed Oahu was by renting a car, and seeing all of the Island which most people only stay by Waikiki beach, which to me was to crowded. There is so much more to see if you have to stay on Oahu. We found some great secluded places to eat and drink on other parts of Island. Great food in Honolulu though. DO NOT MISS PEARL HARBOR. I heard Maui and Kuai are more romantic. Great books to get from Library or book store on money saving is Fodors. I have used them, and thought they were right on. I took the book to Hawaii, and thats how I found so many other places that the typical tourist didn't go, and were fabulous.
