This is very important. You never know when you or FH may need blood.
I give blood three times a year.

apparently it's the 3rd rarest blood type or something-- my dad always told me that, that mine and his were rare-- my dad and i are the same. they used to pay him big bucks to donate when he was in the navy like 30 years ago... and once there was a guy TWO states over (in the navy too) who had gotten in a bad car accident and they had no one to donate blood to him-- so they made an announcement to all the navy men and my dad heard it and let them know so they flew him in a chopper to donate blood and he saved the guy's life

Nope, no one will ever tell me! My mom doesn't know mine either. I'll have to get a type and screen someday but I can't give blood (I'vehad my period since I was 10 and so I'm anemic).
