We are having our Godmothers - they are from oot - i don't know if they will be in for the rehersal. I never really thought about that.

Yeah, I have this question too!
My FMIL wants us to only have 28 people MAX at our rehearsal dinner, but here's my list:
FH and I
My mom, stepdad
Four BMs and dates
Four GM and dates
My sis (one of BM)'s two kids plus their nanny
FH's parents
Family friend (walking me down the aisle) and wife
Readers plus their families (four each)
FH's cousin who is singing at ceremony plus date
That brings me to 37 not including the priest, other singers, and the organist....(making it 41!!)
I think this is on the low side (could have added OOT aunts, uncles, Grandparents, etc!) What do you think we should do??

I think if they are involved in the ceremony and you want them to be at the rehearsal, you should invite them to the RD.

Re: Are you inviting the people who bring up the gifts at the mass to the Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner?
Yes, we had both of our godmothers bring up the gifts at our wedding. We had them at the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. It was good that they were at the rehearsal b/c they actually were given some info by the person who ran our rehearsal. So it might be a good idea to invite to the rehearsal so they know what they are doing the day of the wedding. And if you invite them to the rehearsal you really should invite them to the dinner. I know it might be extra people, but it is the right thing to do.

What's with the limit? I was kind of given one, too?
We didn't give THEM a limit on wedding guests!

Re: Are you inviting the people who bring up the gifts at the mass to the Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner?
we did not have them at the rehearsal or rehearsal dinner-they knew when to go up and it would have been a lot more people so we decided it was not necessary

Re: Are you inviting the people who bring up the gifts at the mass to the Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner?
Yeah, I know...what's with the limit???FH and I (AND my MOH) have been graceful with FILs when they have added more people to our invite list for the wedding and THEN the bridal shower. We're getting RSVPs from people I don't even know -
IMO I would rather have a cookout in our own backyard or at a County Park so we could have everyone there - instead of paying a lot of $ to have fewer people invited....

Yes, we are inviting them to both the rehearsal and the dinner. We're buying them small gifts.

Re: Are you inviting the people who bring up the gifts at the mass to the Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner?
We are since we're inviting them to the rehearsal. We're thinking they aren't going to come because they know when to bring the gifts up already but, since they are part of our actual wedding, we felt we should invite them.

Re: Are you inviting the people who bring up the gifts at the mass to the Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner?
I'm not inviting them, nor am I giving them a gift. In the past when I did readings I never got invited to the RD or received a gift.
