Re: NWR-Good restaurant in Port Jeff?

The Village Way, Billy's for a burger, Steamroom for seafood, there is also a good sushi place. Z pita also has a wide variety of food.

Re: NWR-Good restaurant in Port Jeff?

What are you looking for?

A quick bite? Z Pita

Fancier? Pasta Pasta

Elk Street Grill is also a favorite of my family. Some people like the Steamroom, but I don't know, its ok.

Re: NWR-Good restaurant in Port Jeff?

I am not a fan of Pasta Pasta - the staff was rude to us hte 2 times we went - I personally love Paces Steakhouse (fairly expensive) which is on Wynne Lane in lower Port and there's a sushi place called 'Hana' on North Country road accross from Mather Hospital, (not in the 'village' part of lower Port) that is excellent.

Taras is a pub on Main St., it doesn't look like much but the food is FANTASIC!!!!! You won't be sorry that you went there. The food is dirt cheap and they give you alot for your money. Taras gets *********** from me.

Carnival on 347 is great Italian.

Colleseos for pizza is great too!

Steamroom is a good casual seafood place.

Re: NWR-Good restaurant in Port Jeff?

There is the Spare Rib on the way down to the Port (in the same shopping center as Bagels and a Hole Lot More)... I really liked Pasta, Pasta the four times I have been there. I also really like Dockside for seafood... but I think my first choice would be Pasta, Pasta....

and then afterwards, try out Toast for AMAZING dessert: they have chocolate fondue with all the trimmings-- it's like having a personal chocolate fountain and they have GREAT wine!!! HTH
