If the Matron or maid of honor can not be present at the church rhearsal to sign any papers,
will the church let someone else to sign instead, for example my mother? Has anyone experienced this before? How does this work?

Good question, I don't have an MOH so someone else will have to sign.

i don't think it matters who signs it as long as there are witnesses there in order to sign it

The only paper they should have to sign is the marriage license and that cna be done the morning of the wedding if need be.

I signed my sister's license the morning of the wedding. Her ceremony was at the hall and there was no rehearsal.

My MOH couldn't be at the rehearsal. She just signed it the day of before the ceremony. It wasn't a big deal.

Doesn't matter. We did ours just before the ceremony. But yes, someone else can do it. Just has to be a living, breathing human.

ok, as long as she definitely does not have to be present at the rhearsal.. She is out of state and I do not think she can make it to the rhearsal. So, this eases my mind.. now on to other things to worry about...thanks girls

Re: If the Matron or maid of honor can not be present at the church rhearsal to sign any papers,
I was just the MOH and my FH was the best man in our friends wedding 2 weeks ago. FH is a cop and last minute had an arrest so he could not make it to the rehersal at the church. All they needed was the signature of someone who was there at the rehersal...so the bride's brother and I signed the paper...it was no big deal.
