Re: NWR...Teaching JOBS...Elem ED

i wish i had something!

Wheni i was job hunting I got a lot of good prospects from here: http://www.dowling.edu/mydowling/stu.php

Under Announcements, there is a link that says current education job openings. They update it every week and it seems to always have a lot of jobs listed...

good luck!

oh kathleen, i know how you feel! that used to be me every august.

i wish i knew of something. if nothing opens up, become a permanent sub...that's how i got my first job and my new district hires their permanent subs over regular subs or TAs.

best of luck and i will keep my ears open!

Re: NWR...Teaching JOBS...Elem ED

Hey Kathleen.. I'll join your party, as I too have had zero prospects for a job either. I am Secondary Science with a year experience, and for whatever reason I have had no luck.

I'm feeling beyond anxious, and worried about this school year. I've been having horrible nightmares for the last month... I didn't have them this bad about the wedding! FH and I are actually looking at relocating now... it makes me very sad.

Hang in there.. I know it's easier said than done. I wish us both lots of luck. Where is my luck of the irish when I need it?!

Re: NWR...Teaching JOBS...Elem ED

call the NYCDOE or go online and get the addresses for the schools in decent neighborhoods and mail them resumes directly. thats what i did out of desperation three years ago and i got a job in a great school teaching 3rd grade the DAY BEFORE school started! it was stressful but worth it. now im working on getting out to LI for more money!

Re: NWR...Teaching JOBS...Elem ED

Good luck - looking for a teacing job was hell, and although I'm in the field I love, and now work with a whole bunch of school districts, I never did find that teaching job - now I'm glad though - you'll find the perfect job!
