For those of you who have booked your honeymoon to Hawaii?

Is anyone going to Hawaii for their honeymoon? ....if so....which island(s) will you be going to and which hotel will you be staying at?

We want to stay two weeks but it will be too long and expensive so 10 days is what we plan on doing.

I want to do a week at Maui and a the remaining days at Oahu to see pearl harbor and do other activities? Do you think we should just stay at 1 island? Fh isnt really a fan of hopping to different islands but I definitely want to make the trip to Pearl Harbor since this is a once and a lifetime opportunity that I may never get a chance to come back.

what are your thoughts?

Re: For those of you who have booked your honeymoon to Hawaii?

We are planning our HM the same as you.

We are going to Oahu first for 5 nights to see Pearl Harbor and do some other activities (swim with the dolphins, Paradise Cove Luau, walk up diamond head, etc). We are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village

Maui for 7 nights. We want to stay at the four seasons, but we are waiting for their new Honeymoon package for 2007 to come out to book (they said it should be out in September some time)

We can't afford another Island or have the time really..we have to get back for another wedding.

Re: For those of you who have booked your honeymoon to Hawaii?

We are doing 5 nights on Maui at the Fairmont Kea Lani and 5 nights on the Big Island at the Hapuna Prince. Pearl Harbor is a definite must when you go to Hawaii. I had already been to Oahu, that's why we decided to skip it this time around. I think 3 days on Oahu is perfect. It'll give you enough time to see Pearl Harbor and climb Diamond Head. I don't think you really need more time than that. Oahu is very city-like. It's not your 'typical' Hawaiian island.

Re: For those of you who have booked your honeymoon to Hawaii?

I'm not going to Hawaii for my HM, but have been there twice with my family. I definitely think you should do the two islands. I would suggest to even do a third! It's not often you get over there!! I've been to Maui, Oahu, Kauai, and the bIg Island and loved them all! If you can spend a couple of days on the big island to visit the volcano national park I would definitely recommend it! But most definitely do both Maui and Oahu!

Re: For those of you who have booked your honeymoon to Hawaii?

hi!

based on where i've been.....

oahu needs just 3-4 days....just to see pearl harbor and diamond head crater....other than that...looks just like the city...with all the stores and buildings.....waikiki beach wasnt even all that..

HAWAII (big island) is gorgeous! week or so is good...so much to see and do

kauai is pretty....but not much to see but just relaxation...water falls...its the slowest pace island out of all of them....best to prolly wind down ur HM here...need just like 3-4 days....

HTH!!

Re: For those of you who have booked your honeymoon to Hawaii?

we went for 10 days and did 2 islands. we were advised by our TA and by friends who HM'd there that if u're going to do more than 2 islands, u need to stay for 2 weeks minimum.

we did maui and kauai.
