Official Copies of Marriage License

How many did you request in addition to the one that you received in the mail? I hear that 3-5 is the receommended amount

I didn't request any extras and I haven't needed any. I did make photocopies of the original tho, that's all I needed for my credit card companies, etc. I think you only need the original for SS and the DMV.

Photocopies should be fine. I didn't need them for anything except DH's pension and insurance and for my job since I changed my name.

I needed to send in a certified copy of my license to get my new passport. (You can get a passport for free if it's within 1 year of it first being issued.) So, I went back and got another copy for $10 to put in the mail.

Weird thing is, now we can't find our original.
