So, I kinda feel bad writing this, because I feel like I am 'gossiping' about my FH, but that's not what I am trying to do. I am just getting a little frustrated because I'm so excited about planning the wedding, and it always seems like he's not. Like, he never really talks about it unless I bring something up first, I don't know. I guess it's just a downer when I see a new idea on this site and bring it up to him, and it seems like I'm boring him. I wanted us 'both' to plan everything, because it's 'our' day. We do still have a little over a year, but I mean I already asked all the girls to be bridesmaids...he still hasn't even decided who he wants for his groomsmen I remember when my BF got married she told me her FH was kinda the same way, and I told her she was over-reacting, that it's just a 'guy thing'. Now I see how it feels, and it sux

my DH was the same way when we were still a year or more away. but as time got closer and closer he started to be more active. i think the problem is that most men think they can do everything 6 months before the wedding! they dont realize that there's alot that goes into planning!!!! at one point during the planning we were bickering over how much there was left to do and my DH turned to me and said 'you're being dramatic! planning a wedding can't be very difficult!' Needless to say, he got an earful!!!

i guess it is a guy thing... my fh does the same thing.

try your very best not to worry too much about it (easier said than done).

just remember, your wedding is ONE DAY, this man wants to spend THE REST OF HIS LIFE WITH YOU.

oh trust me...i have 5 months to go and Alex is the same way! Not fun at all...he just looks at me and asks what do i owe now?! i get so mad bc thats what he thinks, i only go to him what its pay the vendor time!! ERRR....trust me you arent alone!

i felt like all the future grooms on this site are so involved

FH doesnt come to vendor appts with me ( though i am dragging him to a florist tomorrow - but he is only coming because it is HIS family's friend)

and when i bring up wedding stuff to him he looks at me like he would rather die than talk about it

i knew he would be like this though so its not too bad and i have a great time with my MOH and sister and mom picking stuff out!

it is going to be like a surprise party for him

My FH was soooo involved in the beginning some people I know were a little jealous. That was then, this is now. Invite stuffing - did it alone. Favor stuffing - did it alone. DIY - he has the color printer, can I get his help?? NO!! I just had to order new RSVP cards with a new date because he forgot some people!! Not friends mind you - RELATIVES!! Maybe I should have put more pressure on him to give me his guest list, but after two months of nagging the sh*t out of him I just called his sister and got the addresses. Today I got an RSVP with a HUGE note to correct the address -his guest NOT mine (and not an address I got from his sister).

If he tells me one more time to stop stressing I'm going to choke him. Currently he is the SOURCE of my stress with last minute guest list additions, getting upset because I didn't include him in stuff (umm, hello, how many times am I supposed to ask??), and him getting annoyed that I'm stressed or upset about something wedding related.

Sorry to hijack your post, but it felt good to get that out!

Ive heard this over and over. It just seems that guys are not interested in planning. Its not that hes not excited about being married, but he just doesnt like planning. Sometimes I didnt even like planning

My DH was not involved in ANYTHING. I even picked out the tux etc.. But I liked it that way. He told me anything I wanted I could have.

Don't feel bad!! Boys will be boys. FH likes to get involved when we talk about DJ's and Photog's, but then there are things he has given very little thought to like flowers and invitations. I think he just doesn't know where to begin with all this stuff.

Don't worry. You will see that all of us who are addicted are probably girls with the same kind of groom. Mine really had close to nothing to say about things. It's no big deal, he's just not into it. I am happy he's actually going along with a wedding in the first place
