I am booking a hall TOMORROW!!!!!!!

I went to visit three places today, Douglaston Manor, Floral Terrace and Woodbury Country club.

Douglaston Manor just wasn't for us so we didn't think twice about it.

We then took the ride to Floral Terrace which was absolutely PERFECT for me and Jesse. We loved it, we loved Frank the banquet manager and YES We are booking it tomorrow! <3 I fell in love everything about it. He is throwing in a few extras and it is costing me a decent price. WE decided to change the date but it is all good. It is a beautiful place, 1 affair so the entire hall is ours, in our price range for what we are getting. We are getting married October 12th, 2008! A bit sooner than we planned.

Westbury Manor was beautiful and they treated us great BUT they were showing us around while 2 parties (a wedding) was going on. I was walking around and ended up in one of the pictures of a guest. I thought to myself, I would NEVER want people to walk around my wedding like that. The place was absolutely gorgeous and the price reasonable for what they offered.

But like I said from the beginning, Floral Terrace is the place for ME and FH!!! We are so excited.

thanks guys...i spoke to FH we arent sure if everyone gets Columbus day off so the date isnt set but tomorrow you will all know for sure!

we would love to do the 12th but if people have to travel that would be nuts!

At least we chose the hall and that is it!!

dont worry about the church! you have plenty of time! just dont tell them you got the hall first - they are not big fans of that!

i just wanted to say congrats!!!! Wow & its a month earlier- even better!!! The whole place is really nice!!! The ballroom is gorgeous- u have the whole place to yourself since there is only one wedding!!!! I heard the food is amazing & you get seconds!!!! I live 5 minutes away from there!!!!

thank god everyone has loved it!!! haha I am afraid to hear bad stories from there but the ballroom is gorgeous...

I love it! Jesse and I had to agree and this was it! I can't wait until later...we are going back with mom and it will be set up for a wedding so we get to see how it looks all ready to go...

maybe i can bring my camera and take pics!!!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I cried when I walked in the room because it was the only room that I thought was perfect! and the banquet manager told me 'You are supposed to act like you hate it' I said 'I know but I cant fake this!!!!! HAHA'

Having the whole place to ourselves also made it even better!! I cant wait to go there today to see it all set up for a wedding! I was so excited last night I didn't sleep very well!

very exciting- yes definitely take pictures- i heard only great things about floral terrace. Afriend of mine got married there last year & said they do great weddings there- the service, food, staff were superb! no negative things!!! i'm so happy for u!!!! Dont worry i didnt book the church yet- i'm slow. We are in the process- but the halls book faster than the church. I had to book the hall asap b/c there werent that many dates left in june for clm.
