NWR: Does anyone know of a reputable modeling/talent agency???

It's not for me, but I have the most adorable little cousin ever and me and his mom want to get him into possibly modeling, acting or something on those lines. I know how many fraudulent agencies there are out there so I thought maybe I'd have better luck asking for recommendations.

i 2nd Ford. check out their website, they have open cast calls during the first week of every month for different divisions.

Go to a book store and pick up a copy of 'The Ross Report'. It's a small booklet that has a listing of all talent agents and managers. Most are mail only and if any ask you for any money (even for pics) run, don't walk. FM me w/ any questions. Freuds are very obvious...they will usually ask you to take pics w/ their photog, or will charge you a 1 time fee to be listed in their catalogue, or will ask for more then 10%. (From what I remember it was 10% for agents, 15% for managers). Ford is very reputable, but if you are serious, don't put all of your eggs in one basket. The Ross Report has a good sized listing of agents involved w/ SAG, etc in NY and CA.

ETA: Most agencies that deal w/ kids will accept a regular ammature pic. However, If you want the name of a good reasonably priced photog in the city who does headshots, FM me.

Just sooo you are aware... it is a TOUGH gig. My son was modeling when he was a baby, but it becomes a full time job.. schlepping them all over hell and highwater. And they have to re-do the portfolio every six months because babies and small children change so much.

I couldn't do it after a few months and I applaud any parent who has the dedication to work it!

I had someone approach me once from Puff Daddy's company lol, I believe it was called Trans Entertainment? try punching that into google...
