Procedure for buying a dress online?

Hi eveyone,
I saw the dress that I want online for such a great price. Can anyone give me some help on when I should buy it. I know if you go to a bridal store and buy the dress they hold on to it until a month or so before the wedding. But if I buy it online then I would have to store it at my home? Are there any special requirments for this and when should I order it?
