first dance question???

OK so me and FH have TOTALLY different tastes in music....we each made a list of our top 5 songs we would want as our first dance song and neithe rof us loved the songs on the other person's list. Is there something we could do to use a song he loves and a song I love? Maybe 2 slow dances in a row and invite everyone up on the second one?? Has anyone ever done this? Any advice?? Or anyone else in this situation??

I'm doing 2 slow songs for our first dance. We had the same problem, so we each picked one song.

We KNEW which song we wanted for our first dance, BUT we wanted it to be OUR dance alone...so we had a 'second dance' and that's when the BP and guests were invited out, for the second song...I think that concept is more and more common these days.

we are doing 2 back to back.........1 for he and i only.....next for us and our BP and maybe our parents!

my DH and I had the hardest time picking a first dance song...we just downloaded a whole bunch of songs to my ipod and played them...we sat in the room the whole night till we picked the song! We finally decided on the right one! Took long enough!

we also had a VERY hard time picking our first dance song, but we finally did it. we're having our spotlight dance alone, followed by a 2nd dance with the bridal party and the parents and then halfway through that one, we'll invite every guest up to join us.

why don't you have the dj mix them...like you start dancing to one that you love and then have him change over to a song that he loves...I mean its ur dance floor at that moment. You guys do what you want!

I know a lot of people do the two songs...the first for you and FH and then the 2nd for the BP , parents and the rest of the guests. I really like the idea that someone said earlier...about mixing the songs. I think that was PERFECT! nice idea...

My FH cousin when he got married he used 2 songs but the way they did i was that they dedicated the song to eachother... it was very cute

We had 2 first dance songs as well. The first song was dedicated to me from my DH that we danced alone to, which was so great. The second dance I dedicated to him and everyone else danced with us during this one.
