Uh oh...The INLAWS are about to meet...

so the dreaded day has come. Saturday Labor day weekend we are going out to dinner so my parents can meet FH's. I AM SO NERVOUS about this...a few lil pointers on how the night can go smoothly

it will all work out- seriously!!!! my parents didnt meet my FH mom until our engagement party in june- they get along great like they knew each other b4. I dont know if that helps prob not- sorry!!

his mom and my mom TOTAL opposites. his mom can be uptight my mom super laid back...and alcohol...I will have a few glasses of wine before the night begins...AHHH i sweat when i think about it! haha

also my mom & FH mom are opposites also- seriously- they manage to get along- my mom is outgoing, says what she feels, his mom is quiet very laid back but they manage to get along

dont worry diane - my parents and anthony's parents are complete opposites too

you know my parents - they are older and traditional

anthony's parents are really young and laid back

they get along great - unfortunately they always manage to talk about what horrible kids they have but at least they talk!!

your parents are awesome i am sure they will put everyone at ease

* advice . . maybe bring more family like brothers and sisters . . . might make it more comfortable!

Diane you are going to be just fine.

And trust me..while mothers will be total opposites..in a setting like this....they will try and loosen up..both of them....it'll level out.

Most importantly...its about you two..just remember that. They are all gonna get along just swell....

And like said above...a little vino never hurt anyone

I was in the same situation.. I was freaking out but it'll go much better than you're expecting. My advice is alcohol helps like everyone said, and bring someone else along who's good with conversation so there's never an awkward moment.

Oh my!!! I feel your pain. I about had a litter of kittens when my dad met FH's parents. It ended up being just fine. They got along really well. Good Luck!!!!

FH and I can't wait for our parents to meet, we will translating all night long, so we can change everything they said
